The Optimisation team works with Product teams to help them deliver the best experiences on our website and app and help them measure their performance. We're a highly collaborative department, working with the whole company; helping our commercial, marketing, brand, product and design teams do their best work.
As a Digital Analytics Implementation Specialist, you’ll be reporting into the Optimisation and Digital Analytics Manager. You’ll be working closely with our Marketing team, Product teams, Analytics Engineering team and our Media agency to help them achieve their goals through improving our Google Tag Manager (GTM) implementation and ensuring our data quality remains high.
Key responsibilities
- Improve and maintain our web and server-side Google Tag Manager (GTM) instance and our dataLayer.
- Confirm data quality throughout web and app experiences by coordinating with Product Teams, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence and Optimisation, ensuring marketing activity is tracked correctly.
- Collaborate with our MarTech team to future proof giffgaff’s targeting capabilities.
- Implement new tags and pixels as required for Marketing and Analytics purposes.
- Proactively find areas of opportunity for tracking, tagging and data quality.

The must haves
- Strong experience with Google Tag Manager, including server-side GTM and GA4 or similar. Able to create tags, triggers, variables and utilise a dataLayer as needed.
- Experience with SQL.
