We are seeking a dynamic Data Center Technician to join our team in Farnborough, United Kingdom! As a Data Center Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our data center infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations for our clients.

Collaborate with experienced technical professionals, facilitating and executing technical work streams collaboratively. Work closely with Product Owners, team members, partners, and other stakeholders to coordinate work and achieve business commitments. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a focus on user experience, security, simplification, and automation. Your Role and Responsibilities

The position is for Data Centre Cloud/Hybrid infrastructure services. The applicant must possess a valid work permit. A valid UK Driving licence is required for travel. This position is based in Farnborough, with potential travel to other UK sites including Slough, Hemel Hempstead, and Chessington. The role requires working 12.5-hour shifts, with a pattern of 4 shifts on followed by 3 shifts off, and alternately, 3 shifts on followed by 4 shifts off, involving rotation in 24/7 Data Centre operation.

  • Proficiency in working with rack, cable, and Cisco or Juniper or both networking equipment.
  • Fundamental understanding of PC/Server hardware concepts and components, e.g., RAM/Motherboard installation.
  • Basic knowledge of various internet-related services.
  • Capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • General comprehension of computer networking concepts.
  • Customer-focused attitude with previous customer service experience being advantageous.
  • Experience in network and power wiring cabling is considered a plus.
