Our Indirect Tax Consultants play a crucial role in supporting clients worldwide with their VAT obligations, encompassing tax compliance, VAT advisory services, and e‑commerce consultancy. We adopt a client‑centric approach and are currently seeking tax professionals to manage a diverse portfolio of clients. As an Indirect Tax Consultant, you will provide comprehensive advice, offering practical guidance on VAT regulations, cross‑border transactions, and ensuring full compliance with VAT laws.
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality VAT consultancy and business advice to your client portfolio continuously.
- Calculate and file European VAT returns meticulously and promptly, ensuring the highest level of accuracy.
- Advise clients on VAT liabilities, guide them on tax payments, proactively remind them of outstanding returns, and ensure compliance with European filings, EC Sales, and Intrastat reporting as required.
- Communicate with tax offices regarding clients’ accounts and obligations.
- Conduct VAT audits/investigations in collaboration with tax offices related to your client portfolio.
- Manage clients’ accounts in coordination with the Credit Control Department.
- Stay consistently updated with VAT law and any changes in legislation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to build trust, rapport, and strong relationships within your portfolio.
- Represent the company professionally at events/webinars.
- Train, support, and develop new team members.
- Collaborate positively and enthusiastically with the team.
- Actively engage with Managers and Directors to suggest contributions for improving procedures.
Essential
- Experience working in Law/VAT/Accountancy/Finance.
- Minimum 2 years of VAT experience.
- Confident and with excellent communication skills for client interaction and engagement (Email, Phone, and face to face (ad hoc)).
- Works well in a team as well as independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
- Organised and proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent multi‑tasking ability.
Desirable
- Experience or knowledge of International E‑Commerce.
