About the Role

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our people across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Production Coordinator to join our Production Team, based at our Brackley site in Northamptonshire. The role is office based accessed through FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas manufacturing short shelf-life products where hygiene standards are critical.
As a Production Coordinator you’ll be working on a rotational pattern Week 1 Monday – Friday 05:00 – 14:00 and Week 2 Monday – Friday 10:00 – 19:00.
What will you be doing as a Production Coordinator at Avara?
As a Production Coordinator you will be scheduling of the production lines and the materials required for product assembly. This role provides real time coordination and optimisation of materials and production capacity. This role operates in a fast moving, high volume, and frequently changing environment where there is significant amount of incoming data from various sources which requires the ability to analyse, process, make decisions and communicate effectively. You will have regular contact and communication with management and various levels of staff.
Key responsibilities
- Creating and managing daily scheduling processes ensuring planned targets are met.
- Pivotal interface between planning (supply management) and production to ensure on time delivery of customer orders.
- Key support to production management on daily operational deliverance.
- Material management and utilisation including WIP management.
- Optimise and balance production lines for best efficiency.
- Commercial focus on minimising waste and optimising raw material usage.
- Continual tracking of actual performance data against plan to ensure corrections can be made to keep on course for planned attainment, and to use this data to continuously improve personal and functional performance.
- Communicate in an effective and timely manner.
