Our advanced manufacturing site in Telford is one of our main processing facilities, processing up to 1.5 million birds per week. There are over 1,200 employees at our Telford site, helping us to deliver high quality products to our customers and making the business a trusted leader in fresh foods. We’ve recently invested £2.3 million in technology and equipment, making it one of the most advanced food manufacturing facilities in the UK.
This is a Fixed-Term role for 3 months with possible extension.
This patrol role is essential to maintaining the safety, compliance, and operational integrity of the site across three shifts. Guards monitor access points, conduct regular patrols, and ensure adherence to site rules and standards. Working collaboratively across different timeframes, each guard plays a vital part in securing the premises, managing vehicle and personnel movement, and responding to any incidents or irregularities. The role requires vigilance, reliability, and a proactive approach to site security.
Responsibilities
- Secure and close visitor and main car parks at designated times.
- Reopen and monitor car parks during early morning hours.
- Conduct regular patrols of all site areas including car parks, locker rooms, changing rooms, etc.
- Monitor traffic entering the goods yard from the gatehouse.
- Oversee rear exit gate, yards and security hut.
- Ensure compliance with site rules and standards during patrols.
- Monitor turnstiles and locker rooms during morning transitions.
- Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter non-compliance.
- Take scheduled breaks while ensuring continuous site coverage.
- Report any incidents, suspicious activity, or breaches of site rules.
