We own and manage our entire supply chain from farms to factory to the customer door, operating major processing sites across England and Wales and an agricultural network of over 350 farms.

About The Role

The Specification Technologist role involves creating product specifications, reviewing and approving artwork, and ensuring deadlines are met with consistent accuracy. The position is predominantly office based, with occasional factory visits in a refrigerated, noisy environment. Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00‑17:00 and travel across Midlands sites (Dudley, Telford, Wednesbury) will be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete finished product specifications and approve artwork in accordance with critical paths to facilitate successful product launches.
  • Work alongside the Ingredients and Packaging Specifications Technologist to approve raw material and packaging specifications.
  • Collaborate with NPD to integrate with the NPD launch process and ensure successful product launches.
  • Provide internal liaison and support for Site Technical teams and external liaison for retail customers.

What We Are Looking For

  • Food related Further Education qualification.
  • Experience writing food specifications and knowledge of major retailers' online specification systems and critical paths.
  • Experience with retailer artwork approval systems and in-depth knowledge of the Food Information for Consumers Regulation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to organise workload to meet key deadlines.
  • Self‑motivated and able to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels.
  • Full driving license.

  • Food related HND or Degree.
  • Food labelling qualification.
