We’re looking for a Process Checker to join our team at our site in Wednesbury.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 07.00-16.00
About The Role
As a Process Checker you will be working as part of the Production Team, conducting checks, documenting and recording against company procedures to legal compliance in food manufacturing at site.
- Carrying our finished product weight checks against a scheduled frequency to ensure legal compliance
- Carrying out label checks against a scheduled frequency to ensure legal compliance.
- Setting up printers including date coding on pack, correctly for each product run, against customer guidelines.
- Maintain traceability of ingredients, raw material and finished product to ensure product due diligence.
- Stock control enforcement, including managing fixed and WIP stock, reviewing paperwork and identifying any close to use by and out of use by material, to report to Section Manager
- Carrying out product temperature checks against a scheduled frequency to ensure legal compliance and due diligence.
- Check QUID values against declared, on a scheduled frequency to ensure legal compliance.
- Record all rework reasons for report produced by Production Manager

Our advanced manufacturing site in Wednesbury, West Midlands, is our newest advanced manufacturing site, and we’ve invested around £4.7 million into state-of-the-art facilities.
Our Wednesbury site is a flagship Added Value centre for Avara, which employ over 150 talented individuals at the site, who help to supply some of the UK’s largest supermarkets and popular restaurants!
