About the Role

Are you passionate about recruitment and creating an outstanding candidate experience? Do you have an eye for talent and a commitment to ethical hiring practices? Avara Foods is looking for a highly competent and motivated Resourcing Officer to join our team based at our Hereford site, to cover a period of maternity leave on a fixed term basis (9-12 months). You will predominantly be responsible for recruitment across our Agricultural and Central functions. This role is 40 hours across Monday to Friday and predominantly site-based, with a possibility for 1 day to work from home.

Purpose of the Role

The Resourcing Officer will manage end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards, while building strong talent pipelines for both immediate and future needs. You will lead recruitment initiatives, coach hiring managers, and champion internal mobility and succession planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for salaried, hourly and early career talent roles, from attraction to onboarding.
  • Ethical and Legal Compliance: Ensure all recruitment activities adhere to Avara’s ethical standards and UK employment legislation, including Right to Work checks and GDPR compliance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with hiring managers and senior leaders to understand workforce needs and deliver effective solutions.
