Salary: £38,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 17:30
Are you a highly organised and detail-focused planner with great communication skills? We’re looking for a Production Feed Planner to join our team in Banbury, helping to ensure our production schedule runs smoothly and customer needs are met efficiently and on time.
About The Role
As a Production Feed Planner, you’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining a manageable and effective production plan that meets customer demand while optimising available resources. You’ll work closely with the production and transport teams to ensure all plans are achievable and clearly communicated across departments.
This is a fast-paced role where strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and attention to detail are key. You’ll act as the link between customers and operations, ensuring their requirements are prioritised and expectations managed professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain daily production schedules to meet customer demand
- Ensure production plans are achievable based on available transport and mill capacity
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing excellent service and managing expectations
- Liaise closely with production and transport teams to ensure smooth coordination of daily plans
- Adapt plans quickly to manage unforeseen changes in production or logistics
- Develop a solid understanding of mill operations to plan more effectively
- Support other mill activities when required
- Escalate and manage any unplanned disruptions to minimise customer impact
About You
- Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, or logistics (manufacturing or food/feed industry experience preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Confident using IT systems (Excel, planning tools, email, etc.)
- Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
Working Environment
You’ll be working in a busy feed manufacturing facility where teamwork, accuracy, and communication are key. The role is split between the office and factory floor, in an environment that can be noisy and dusty in some areas.
