Do you want to earn a minimum of £12.75 per hour? We’re looking for a Hygiene Operative and Step up Process Leader to join our team at our site in Caistor, North Lincolnshire.

Working Hours

  • 40 hours per week with the choice between shift patterns.
  • Option 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 18:00 – 03:00
  • Option 2: Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday 18:00 – 05:00
  • Option 3: Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday 18:00 – 05:00

About The Role

As Hygiene Operative you’ll ensure cleanliness, hygiene, quality and safety standards are met by achieving agreed cleaning standards for production areas and machinery. This role also stands up into a Process Leader position on Sunday, performing visual inspections and sign-offs for the hygiene operations that day. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf-life products where hygiene standards are critical.

  • Achieving agreed quality standards relating to cleaning instruction cards and training.
  • Cleaning all factory equipment and machinery to deadlines, ready for production to start.
  • Inspection and sign-off of Hygiene Operations when in the Process Leader role.
  • The use of pressure washers and chemicals.
  • Removal of debris from production areas.
  • Disassembling and reassembling factory equipment to aid cleaning.
  • Manual handling which can include lifting equipment and products up to 20kg.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

  • Good level of English and basic numeracy skills.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role.
  • Basic hygiene training/qualifications such as COSHH.
  • The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
  • Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks.
  • Experience within a food production/manufacturing environment.
