Avara Foods, a leading food manufacturing business in Herefordshire, is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager for a full‐time, permanent role.
Role Overview
You will lead site‐level quality assurance activities, ensuring all products meet food safety, legal and customer requirements. The role focuses on maintaining standards, supporting audits and working closely with production teams to deliver consistent quality performance across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day‐to‐day QA operations and quality systems
- Support and maintain BRCGS and customer audit standards
- Oversee HACCP, GMP and food safety procedures
- Lead, coach and develop QA team members
- Investigate non‐conformances and manage corrective actions
- Review specifications, procedures and quality documentation
- Support continuous improvement and compliance initiatives
What You'll Bring
You have proven experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or Senior QA professional within food manufacturing. Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP and food safety legislation is essential. You’re organised, confident with audits and comfortable leading teams in a fast‐paced environment. Experience in poultry or high‐risk food operations is an advantage.
