Avara Foods owns and manages its entire supply chain, from farms to factory and all the way to the customer door. We have major processing sites across England and an agricultural network of over 350 farms, spanning from North Yorkshire to the South Coast and Wales.
The Engineering department based in Brackley, Northamptonshire is looking for a Fabrication Engineer to join the team who will take on various tasks to support the wider engineering development plans.
Working Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 06:00 – 15:00
What will you be doing as a Fabrication Engineer at Avara?
As a Fabrication Engineer, you will undertake fabrication tasks to support the business needs. Tasks will be site specific but may include:
- TIG welding of stainless steel on new and existing equipment.
- Repair of existing equipment on site.
- Design and manufacture of bespoke pieces.
- Repair of galvanised steel modules.
- Ensuring the repairs and manufacture are carried out in line with the schedule and effective and efficient corrective action is taken.
- Following good engineering standards and good hygiene practice for the department.
- Timely reporting of any Health and Safety and Environmental issues.
Qualifications:
- Interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work from own initiative.
- FLT/Counterbalance experience is desirable (Training can be given).
- Ability to communicate at all levels and work effectively within a team.
- Ability to mark up and fabricate your own work.
- Effective organisation skills and time management – ability to multi-task.
