About the Role:
Location: This is a remote-based role with occasional travel to various sites. Ideally, candidates should be based within 1–1.5 hours of Hereford, but we are open to considering strong applicants from other locations, depending on their flexibility to travel.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
Salary: Up to £45,000 (depending on skills and experience)

We’re looking for a proactive and driven Technical Field Manager to join our agricultural team. In this role, you’ll work across chicken and turkey operations to challenge current practices and drive improvements in bird health, welfare, performance, and environmental sustainability. This is a varied, field-based role ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in agriculture or animal welfare, who thrives on delivering continuous improvement across farming operations.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and analyse weekly performance data
- Trigger and lead investigations
- Conduct chick start surveys and chair broiler outcome meetings
- Champion water hygiene
- Complete farm assessments and deliver workshops
- Reduce reject levels by identifying and addressing root causes
- Lead cleaning and disinfection surveys
- Deliver Future of Welfare and Compliance workshops
- Support farms with welfare KPI delivery and ongoing improvement
- Work closely with production teams to ensure protocols and procedures are implemented and followed
- Engage external partners to support continuous and transformational improvement
What You’ll Need
- Strong background in agriculture, poultry farming, or animal welfare
- Technical mindset with excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work both in-office and on-site across the UK
- A clean driving licence is essential
