This is a fantastic opportunity for a Supply ChainApprenticeto work as part of our Supply Chain team team and who is confident in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. As an inclusive, forward thinking business we have an exciting new opportunity to join us as an Supply Chain Apprentice and join our Supply Chainteam based at our manufacturing site in Hereford.

We own and manage our entire supply chain, from farms to factory and all the way to the customer door – meaning we have careers that cover a whole range of functions. We have major processing sites across England and Wales, and an agricultural network of over 350 farms, spanning from North Yorkshire to the South Coast and Wales.
Purpose of the role
As a Supply Chain Apprentice, you will work within our Supply Chain Function as a member of the Order Management Team.
You will be dealing with many stakeholders: customers, logistic teams and different parts of Avara including factory planning, customer planning and despatch.
The customer support role will be the initial 6 to 12 month placement before moving on to other areas within Supply Chain.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- EDI Order Management in our ERP System Oracle for our retail customers.
- Order Amendments where required for all customers in Oracle.
- Order Release for all customers in Oracle and sending order information to despatch teams.
- Enter and process all Food Service orders including any direct store delivery requests.
- Enter and process commercial sales orders.
- Update and manage product life concessions in the system.
- General enquiries from internal teams and customers.
- General Admin Tasks.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understand of Excel desirable.
- Flexible, resilient approach with good problem solving skills.
- Ability to effectively time manage and prioritise tasks.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Enthusiastic and keen to learn.
