What You’ll Need to Be Successful
- A basic level of communication and numeracy is essential.
- You must fully understand the Islamic procedure and conditions for slaughtering animals.
- No qualifications are required; full training will be given to obtain a WATOK licence (Welfare of animals at the time of killing).
- Previous experience in a similar role or in the food manufacturing industry is desirable.
- A basic Food Hygiene certificate and manual handling training are desirable.
- A high degree of self‑motivation and physical fitness are required.
