About the Role: Despatch Operative/Picker – Hereford Location: Grandstand Road, Hereford
We’re seeking motivated and enthusiastic Despatch Operatives to join our Hereford team at Grandstand Road. You’ll help facilitate the efficient loading of products for delivery to our customers, ensuring the correct products are picked, loaded, and documented to customer specifications.

About the role
The Despatch operative will be responsible for the smooth transition of our product from production lines, ensuring availability for outloads.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting with goods, scanning and storing products and raw materials.
- Wrapping, scanning and palletising products.
- Issuing products to production teams to match production plans.
- Manual handling which may include lifting equipment and products up to 20kg.
- Loading and unloading vehicles using manual handling equipment.
- Carrying out all duties in line with training, food safety and health and safety guidance.

We have major processing sites across England and Wales, and an agricultural network of over 350 farms, spanning from North Yorkshire to the South Coast and Wales.
A little about our Hereford site:
The Hereford plant is our largest site and processes chicken products across two factory facilities, Grandstand Road and Yazor Road. Grandstand handles processing, whole bird production and portioning, with Yazor responsible for portioning and added value. Across the whole site approximately 1,500 people are employed and it processes 1.9m birds per week.
