36 hours per week on a 3 week rota.
08:00-18:00 / 4 shifts between Monday and Saturday
Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

Week 3 –Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday
About the role
As a Hatchery Operative, working as part of the Hatchery Team, you’ll help assist the hatchery and play a key role in the daily duties which are fundamental to our entire business.
- Assisting in the effective movement of eggs from storage to incubating machines and then to hatching machine.
- Moving 10kg trays of eggs into the egg trolleys.
- Checking if there is anything wrong with the eggs.
- Moving eggs from incubating machines to hatching machines effectively.
- Cleaning all equipment after use to the required high standards
- Safeguarding bio security and following these strict procedures
- Observing bird welfare and health and safety on site at all times
What are we looking for?
- A good level of English and basic numeracy skills
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
- Previous experience is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.
