Fabrication Engineer
Are you an experienced Welder and Fabricator? Competent in MIG & TIG Welding? Self-motivated and passionate about working within a large engineering team that is growing?
Our Engineering department based in Brackley, Northamptonshire are looking for a Fabrication Engineer to join the team who will take on various tasks to support the wider engineering development plans.
A fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf-life products where hygiene standards are critical. The role is both factory and workshop based.
Working hours are Tuesday – Saturday 06:00 – 15:00
Purpose
As a Fabrication Engineer you will undertake fabrication tasks to support the business needs. Tasks will be Site specific but may include design and manufacture of bespoke pieces, repair of galvanised steel modules which are critical to our business and repairs to existing equipment.
Responsibilities
- TIG welding of stainless steel on new and existing equipment
- Repair of existing equipment on site
- Design and manufacture bespoke pieces
- Repair of galvanised steel modules
- Ensure the repairs and manufacture are carried out in line with the schedule and effective and efficient corrective action is taken
- Follow good engineering standards and good hygiene practice for the department
- Timely reporting of any Health and Safety and Environmental issues
- Ensure that Health and Safety Policies, Standard Operating Procedures are properly managed and adhered to at all times

- Competency in using Oxy Acetylene equipment
- Ability to Mark up and Fabricate your own work
