0600 – 1600( or 0700 – 1700 when needed) 3 week shift pattern
Wk 1 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Wk 2 Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Wk 3 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
About the role
As an Egg Room Operative, working as part of the Hatchery Team, you’ll help assist the hatchery and play a key role in the daily duties which are fundamental to our entire business.
  • Pulling the day sets.
  • Setting of eggs at designated time.
  • Unloading egg lorries.
  • Fumigation of eggs.
  • Sorting and storing eggs in flocks.
  • Traying eggs from farm trolleys to setter trolleys. (weight of trays between 9kg – 13kg lifting above head height)
  • Daily hygiene tasks.
  • Unloading/loading via forklift, (training will be given)

What are we looking for?

  • A good level of English and basic numeracy skills
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
  • Relevant experience is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.
