Working Hours
0600-1800/1800-0600 rotational shifts – 38.5 hours per week
Purpose of the role
Responsibility and accountability for efficient production, maintaining the highest standard of quality feed as well as Health & Safety (H&S) standards and procedures.
Your key responsibilities
- Full understanding of the importance of safe working practices and procedures and adhering to them on a daily basis
- Compliance with feed specifications and HSE guidelines.
- Managing all day-to-day mill activities/responsibilities during production or non-production hours
- Continuous improvement of Avara quality, safety, and productivity standards.
- Ensuring to maintain above required standards of UFAS
- Ensure correct usage of raw materials and energy sources
- Ensure availability of materials for minimum of following 24 hours production and report when not met
- Environment and H&S standards and procedures
- High level of Hygiene and cleanliness of working areas including mill
- Housekeeping standards individually and as part of a team
- Hourly and daily production targets and quality of feed
- Accurate and timely recorded information of KPI’s
- Achievement of both individual and department KPI targets
- Effective and regular communication/reporting
- Sign in & Out visitors/contractors and issue permits for contractors as required
- First Aider and Fire Marshall duties
- Ad hoc duties to assist continuity of production or other tasks as required
- To carry out tasks as given to you by site management as and when required
What we are looking for
- A motivated ambitious person with a high level of communication and numeracy
- Previous experience of working in a Feed mill environment preferred.
- Computer literacy including use of Microsoft Excel and Word
