About The Role:

Avara Foods is an inclusive, forward-thinking business that has invested heavily in its IT systems. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our growing Data Operations team. The role is office based but there may be a requirement for you to go within the factory environment.
You will play a key role in supporting our cloud transition, focusing on business process analysis, migration strategies, and system/data integration. This role requires expertise in modeling business processes, data, and integration points, as well as gathering and documenting requirements. You\'ll collaborate across teams to identify needs, resolve conflicting priorities, and ensure smooth communication with technical teams supporting our digital infrastructure.
There is an opportunity for the role to be undertaken by an IT graduate or an experienced professional.

Working hours are Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17.00.
What will you be doing as a Business Analyst at Avara?
As a Business Analyst, you will primarily communicate with business stakeholders to understand their processes and dependencies on software applications. You\'ll document and model roles, decisions, and data flows to identify opportunities for optimization, digitization, and automation within business-driven projects.
Acting as a liaison for the Data Engineering Team, you\'ll support Senior Integration Engineers and collaborate with departments like Planning, Operations, and Compliance to implement and test project deliverables for critical systems. You will continue to develop skills in requirements management, process, and data analysis, while mentoring IT colleagues to enhance business analysis capabilities.
As you build relationships with senior management, you will work with the enterprise architect, project manager, and service delivery manager to establish a Business Process Management discipline within IT, extending across Avara.
What will your key responsibilities as a Business Analyst include?
- Analyze business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Recommend optimized workflows and automation to enhance productivity and reduce manual handling.
- Collaborate with process owners to document end-to-end processes and implement best practices.
- Create reports and dashboards to monitor business process performance and provide analytical insights.
- Act as a liaison between business units, IT, and leadership to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Provide monthly and quarterly updates to the Data Operations team and senior IT management on project progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Analyze, map, and document data flows across systems to ensure compatibility and integrity during integration with cloud platforms.
- Work with the Data Engineering team to design data integration solutions that meet business needs.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies with the Master Data team to ensure consistency across platforms.
- Coordinate with IT and third-party vendors to minimize disruption during system migrations.
- Ensure data security, compliance, and minimal risk during migration activities.
- Maintain detailed documentation of process and requirements changes.
