About the Role:

Do you want to earn a minimum of £13.02 per hour? We’re looking for a Production Operative to join the Butchery team at our Hollybank Site in Scropton, Derbyshire on a part time basis, 1 day per week.

Working Hours

Tuesday, 06:00 – Finish.

Finish times are usually around 15:00 but can vary due to production plans.

Minimum 7 hours pay per shift.

About the role:

As Production Operative you’ll be part of the Butchery Team, checking, preparing and packing Turkey portions, products and whole birds. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf life products where hygiene standards are critical.

  • Using a knife to trim, prepare and butcher turkey portions.
  • Ensuring products are created to the relevant customer standards.
  • Weighing, assembling and packing products ready for despatch.
  • Labelling and grading of products.
  • Manual handling which can include lifting equipment and products up to 20kg.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
  • The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
  • Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
  • Previous knife/butchery skills would be advantageous.
  • Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
