Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30
Purpose of the role: Working as a member of the Engineering Team, you will have Engineering responsibility for an area within the operational environment as the asset manager. Monitoring equipment downtime, analysing trends to drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives and projects.
What will your key responsibilities as a Reliability Engineer include?
- Responsible for all equipment in an area
- Maintain a high level of reliability of factory equipment through an effective planned maintenance regime
- Responsible for the gathering and analysis of equipment efficiency and downtime to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Raise planned maintenance or reactive maintenance jobs for respective area
- Review of all completed job sheets in respective area
- Production of downtime data for weekly meetings
- Lead and support installation and capital projects
- Communicate and collaborate with other colleagues, suppliers and contractors
- Understand engineering and operational KPIs and be able to identify areas for improvement
- Interact with on-shift engineers and other site engineering teams to resolve challenging equipment problems
- Support the Site Reliability Engineer and engineering peers to develop robust weekly and monthly maintenance plans that improve asset availability and equipment performance
- Co‑ordinate original equipment manufacturer engineer service visits with production and planning teams and scheduling further work that arises from those inspections
Essential:
- Engineering qualification Level 3 or above
- Experience gained in an Engineering maintenance environment
- Self‑motivated attitude with the ability to multi‑task and thrive in a timeline driven environment
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
- Ability to problem solve
- Strong analytical skills
- Good IT ability
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, HND / HNC or L3 Engineering qualification may be considered depending on experience
- Knowledge of CMMS system (Mainsaver / Spidex)
- CAD experience
- Experience of managing projects
- Experience of onsite contractor management
