We’re looking for Despatch Operatives to join our Despatch team based at our site at Grandstand Road in Hereford! No experience necessary, full training is provided!

Working Hours: 38.50 hours per week 0700-1900/1900-0700

The Despatch operative will be responsible for the smooth transition of our product from production lines, ensuring availability for outloads. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating pedestrian pallet trucks, scanning product to ensure it is sent to the correct customer and loading delivery lorries with the correct product.
  • Manual handling which may include lifting equipment and products up to 20kg.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles using manual handling equipment.
  • Be fully aware of all the required safety equipment needed to perform tasks and how equipment should be used.
  • Carrying out all duties in line with training, food safety and health and safety guidance.

What we are looking for:

  • Good level of communication and numeracy – essential.
  • An NVQ Level 2 in Food Manufacturing would be desirable.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or working in the food manufacturing industry would be desirable.
  • A basic food hygiene certificate, a battery operated truck license or manual handling training would be desirable.
  • Effective organisation & time management.
