About the Role:

About the role:
As Despatch Operative you’ll be working with fresh and frozen meat products, helping to palletise, wrap store and load products for deliveries. So, you’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf life products where hygiene standards are critical.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Picking, storing and documenting products.
- Quality checking, wrapping and palletising products.
- Stacking frozen and chilled products.
- Loading and unloading trailers.
- Using hand scanners to log products into the system.
- Picking, checking and rotating products based on the daily plan.
- Manual handling which can include lifting equipment and products up to 20kg
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Licences/experience with MHE equipment and ability to show competancy.
- Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
- The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
- Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
- Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
