The Opportunity: Executes day-to-day inventory & material management tasks at customer facilities, following a defined standard output or set of procedures. Tasks include receiving, inspection, inventory logging, proper storage, and timely distribution of inbound and outbound materials to end users. Problems and issues faced are generally recurring and solutions are typically known and/or prescribed. Examples are: inbound shipments arriving with missing or damaged items, discrepancies between system records and physical stock, or items stored in incorrect locations, leading to inefficiencies in retrieval. More complex problems, like supply chain interruptions or system/software malfunctions, are solved by applying methods learned through experience and/or using available support. Communicates activity records, service level metrics and other information requiring some explanation or interpretation to team members, supervisors or customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Regular collection of used lab coats across multiple buildings within the Stevenage site
- Regular replenishment of clean lab coats across the site
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely and efficient service
- Adhere to company policies, SOPs, and H&S legislation
Knowledge & Skills
- Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office
- Excellent customer service skills: professional, polite, and approachable
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Well-organised with the ability to prioritise workloads
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous laboratory or logistics experience preferred
- Desirable: experience in pharmaceutical environments (GxP, GMP, GLP)
