The Opportunity:

Lab 3 Production prepares sample collection containers, a repacking and irradiation service. The customer base consists of Water Testing Companies, Pharma Production, Industrial Companies or R&D Companies. The role is to support the Lab 3 production business, by assembling the product, managing inventory, structuring of workflow and management of some of the production workforce.

Location: Magna Park, Lutterworth

Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Reports to: Production Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and motivated Production Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of our production operation. This role combines practical production activities with team coordination responsibilities, helping to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a production, manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment who is looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the daily coordination of production activities to ensure work is completed on time.
  • Allocate tasks and assist with workflow planning across the production team.
  • Work closely with Production, Planning, Quality, and Warehouse teams to support operational requirements.
  • Assist with machine set-up and production activities as required.
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and productive working environment.
  • Ensure products are assembled and processed according to work instructions and quality standards.
  • Complete basic production documentation and production order confirmations.
  • Prepare and print product labels using company systems.
  • Carry out routine quality checks throughout the production process.
  • Support stock movement and material handling activities, including forklift operations where required.
  • Assist with inventory checks and stock accuracy activities.
  • Report safety concerns, quality issues, and operational challenges to management.
  • Support the training of new team members and promote best working practices.
  • Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating day-to-day team activities would be beneficial.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Experience with SAP or similar business systems would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Forklift Truck (FLT) licence is desirable but not required, as training can be provided.
  • Flexible and willing to learn new skills.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or logistics environment.

Working Environment

This role is split between office-based administrative tasks and hands-on operational activities on the production floor. The position may involve:

  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting materials up to 10kg.
  • Operating production equipment and handling materials.
  • Use of forklift trucks and pallet trucks.
  • Working with chemicals in line with safety procedures and provided training.
  • Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
