The Opportunity: Executes day‐to‐day lab operations & support objectives at customer facilities, following a defined standard output or set of procedures, focused on minimizing laboratory workflow interruptions. Problems and issues faced are generally recurring and solutions are typically known and/or prescribed. More complex problems are solved by applying methods learned through experience and/or using available support.
Activities may include:
- PPE and/or safety station checks and maintenance
- Reviewing defibrillators, extinguishers and dispensing areas to confirm working order
- Storage, tracking and distribution of chemicals/materials ensuring accurate inventory control
- Hazardous waste collection and recycling
Collects, documents, and organizes data and observations. Communicates activity records, service level metrics and other information requiring some explanation or interpretation to team members, supervisors or customers.

What you'll be doing:
- Supporting daily laboratory operations through effective material and stock management
- Managing inventory and ensuring availability of chemicals and consumables
- Handling deliveries, including temperature‐sensitive materials
- Monitoring stock levels, expiry dates, and ensuring proper stock rotation
- Supporting safe waste management processes
- Maintaining clean, organised lab and storage areas
- Collaborating with lab teams to understand and respond to operational needs
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a laboratory or similar environment
- Basic knowledge of chemical handling or inventory systems (preferred)
- Strong organisational and time‐management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service mindset
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools
- A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach to work
Nice to have:
- A scientific degree or relevant qualifications
- Experience working with laboratory inventory systems or stock management
