Avantor is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Laboratory Service Coordinator to join our on-site team in London, UK.In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the daily operations of a dynamic laboratory environment, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery across a range of essential lab support functions.

The Team
You’ll be part of a collaborative and customer-focused team that supports scientific research through operational excellence. Working closely with scientists, lab managers, and suppliers, you’ll ensure that laboratory services are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.
This role sits within ourLaboratory and Production Servicesdepartment, a vital function within Avantor that supports customers in the Life Sciences and pharmaceutical industries through expert service delivery, product knowledge, and operational support.
What we’re looking for
Education: A-Level or equivalent qualification in a scientific or technical subject
Experience:
- Familiarity with laboratory operations, including stock and waste management, equipment calibration, and material handling, is advantageous
- Experience with international shipping (especially to the US) is a plus
- Knowledge of sterilisation techniques and laboratory hygiene protocols
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic IT systems for inventory and logistics tracking
- Understanding of health and safety practices in laboratory environments
- A strong focus on delivering excellent customer service
How you\'ll thrive and create an impact
- Manage laboratory stock levels, ensuring timely ordering and replenishment of consumables and reagents
- Coordinate waste disposal in line with safety and environmental regulations
- Perform routine equipment calibration and maintenance checks
- Sterilise laboratory equipment and maintain cleanliness standards across workspaces
- Receive incoming materials and prepare outgoing shipments, including international deliveries
- Support internal logistics by coordinating the movement of materials between departments and external partners
