The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for an additional, dedicated and driven Biopharma Account Manager to support a significant investment aimed at strengthening our Account Management team and accelerating revenue growth.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support Biopharma Customer Accounts in Oxford & Cambridge, home to Europe’s largest technology cluster, while focusing on maintaining and building strong relationships through visits to customer sites within the UK research campus.

The ideal candidate should be based in or near Luton, ensuring convenient coverage of the customer base in Oxford and Cambridge.

This flexible role blends home office and field-based work, allowing you to collaborate with customers and internal teams to create meaningful solutions. The Team
Avantor’s Biopharma Account Management team consists of ten exceptional Sales Specialists. Together, they nurture client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and business growth. The team also oversees a diverse portfolio of customers in the pharmaceutical industry.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience: Proven expertise in a complex sales environment, with a solution-based selling approach involving multiple stakeholders in the purchasing decision.
  • Education: Bachelor\’s degree in a science-related discipline is preferred but not essential
  • Business-to-Business Sales: Solid experience in B2B sales.
  • Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of the company’s products, promotions, services, and solutions for customers.
  • Pharmaceutical Expertise: Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical product and service portfolio is highly desirable
  • Languages: Fluency in English (oral and written) is essential; proficiency in one or two additional languages is highly desirable.
  • Customer Relationships: Skilled in building mutually beneficial relationships and leading strategic conversations with customers.
  • Core Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Personal Qualities: Proactive, inspirational, and team-focused.
  • Technical Tools: Experience with C4C, SAP, and Microsoft Teams is preferred.
  • A driving license is essential.
