Avanti Gas is looking for a skilled LPG Field Engineer to join our North region team, installing and maintaining LPG systems that support homes, commercial premises, agricultural and industrial operations across the region.

We are seeking a qualified engineer who combines technical expertise with strong customer service skills, working autonomously while being part of a supportive regional team.

The Opportunity

As an LPG Field Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe installation and maintenance of LPG vessels and systems across a diverse customer base, spanning domestic households, commercial premises, agricultural operations, and industrial facilities.

You\'ll ensure systems are installed and maintained to the highest safety standards and in full compliance with current legislation.

Working as part of our North region engineering team and reporting to the Engineering Inspector North, you will work autonomously while being supported by experienced colleagues and receiving ongoing training.

You will be the technical face of Avanti Gas to customers, providing expert advice and delivering solutions that meet their energy needs safely and efficiently.

  • What You Will Be Doing
  • Install, exchange, and uplift LPG vessels.
  • Conduct ten-year testing of LPG vessels and annual visual inspections of vessels and installations, maintaining comprehensive documentation and compliance records.
  • Complete service works and general maintenance on LPG installations, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Attend emergency call-outs when required, including out-of-hours support, responding promptly to customer needs with professionalism and technical competence.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to customers, sales representatives, and internal teams on product storage, distribution systems, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain your company vehicle and equipment to high standards, managing your schedule efficiently to deliver excellent service across your territory.
  • What We Are Looking For
  • ACS Qualified in CCLP1EPC or equivalent certification.
  • Solid knowledge and practical experience of liquid transfer and vapour recovery systems.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working to LPG codes of practice and current safety legislation.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work autonomously and make sound technical decisions in the field.
  • Strong focus on safety within the workplace with meticulous attention to compliance and best practice.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Confidence liaising with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels, delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and maintain accurate records.
  • Team player who collaborates effectively with colleagues while working independently day-to-day.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work away on occasions and respond to out-of-hours call-outs when required.
  • Ability to listen, absorb, and retain technical knowledge as systems and regulations evolve.
