A well-established software and IT services company based near Sheffield is looking to hire a .NET Developer to support ongoing growth and an increasing project pipeline.

This is a hands-on role working on bespoke systems built for a range of clients, offering the opportunity to work across the full development lifecycle and make a genuine impact.

THE ROLE

You will be working on a range of custom-built applications, supporting existing systems while also developing new variations for incoming clients. Responsibilities include:

  • Working on existing customer codebases
  • Developing and adapting bespoke software solutions
  • Contributing across full-stack development (frontend & backend)
  • Understanding and implementing client-specific requirements
  • Supporting testing, deployment, and ongoing improvements

This role suits someone who enjoys varied work, rather than being tied to a single product or codebase.

Desirable:

  • JavaScript / Node.js
  • Azure

Note: A significant portion of the work is currently based on .NET Framework, so experience or willingness to work with legacy systems is important. There are future projects involving .NET Core and system modernisation.

SALARY & BENEFITS

  • ~£40,000 – £50,000
  • ~ Two performance-related bonuses per year
  • ~ Private medical insurance
  • ~35-hour working week (9am–5pm)
  • ~24 days holiday + bank holidays
  • ~ Christmas to New Year off (in addition to annual leave)

LOCATION & WORKING PATTERN

  • ~ Based near Sheffield (Dinnington area)
  • ~ Hybrid working:
  • ~3 days per week in the office initially
  • ~ Reduces to 2 days per week after 3–6 months

Please note: The office location is not easily accessible by public transport, so a driving licence is recommended.
