The Role

  • You will lead the design and development of complex mechanical and electromechanical systems from concept through to production.
  • You will provide technical leadership across key engineering work packages, support cross‑functional delivery, and play a major role in solving challenging technical problems within advanced EV applications.
  • This is a senior technical position offering significant influence across product development activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical and electromechanical design activities across complex engineering projects.
  • Support full product lifecycle development from concept to production.
  • Drive technical decision‑making and problem resolution.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, validation, electronics, suppliers and customers.
  • Support DFMEA, validation, change control and release activities.
  • Ensure designs meet engineering, manufacturing and quality standards.
  • Mentor and support other engineers within the team.

Requirements

  • Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Strong experience within mechanical or electromechanical product development.
  • Excellent CAD and technical drawing capability.
  • Strong GD&T and engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience using FEA to support design decisions.
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience leading technically complex engineering activities.
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience within automotive, EV, motorsport, aerospace or other advanced engineering sectors would be highly beneficial.
