Avanti House Primary School is located in Stanmore, Greater London. We are seeking a Chaplain on a permanent, part-time basis with a salary of Grade 8, £39,008 to £40,871 per annum, pro rata.

Avanti chaplaincy offers the opportunity for a gifted individual with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to help nurture the school’s ethos and support our students, staff, and families on their spiritual journeys. The chaplain will support/lead assemblies, festivals, small-group dialogue, devotional activities, and spiritual wellbeing sessions. They will share spiritual insight in accessible, relevant ways, guiding and helping others to flourish through meaningful conversation and self-discovery. The role also involves practices such as guided meditations, breath work, reflective exercises, creative and nature-led activities, all within a spiritual context.

What will you do?
- Contribute to the spiritual insight provision at school by leading/supporting assemblies and festival activities.
- Lead student, staff, and parent spiritual insight discussion groups and workshops.
- Support the pastoral care of children with spiritual wellbeing sessions for small groups and 1-1.
- Develop chaplaincy in the school, including implementation and assessment of impact.
- Develop social outreach and community projects, and parent workshops so that the Avanti Way can be nurtured in all aspects of students’ lives.
