Our stations team at Stockport are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Talent bank of Welcome Hosts. This includes various contracts including full time, part time, permanent and fixed term contracts.

Our Welcome Hosts are committed to keeping our customers safe at the station and play a vital role in keeping the network moving seamlessly.

In this role you can bring your authentic self to make our customers' experience memorable as they travel through our stations. We want you to be you!

What are the essentials of the job?

  • Working with the On Board and Station teams to provide our customers with a safe, relaxing journey in a welcoming, friendly and professional way.
  • Communicate effectively with On Board and Stations teams to create an amazing customer experience whilst being safe, always ensuring your own personal safety and that of others at all times.
  • Assist customers with their travel needs, ensuring concise and accurate information is provided.
  • Assist in duties at times of service disruption and emergencies ensuring that appropriate advice is relayed to customers.
  • Provide assistance and information to customers using your initiative and empowerment when finding solutions to customers and other people's problems.

If you are successful you'll be placed in a Talent Bank. Various contracts available. Please note: A Talent Bank is where we will hold your details for 12 months. When suitable roles become available, we will make contact to offer you the opportunity. Therefore, you will not need to apply for the Welcome Host role for this station again for 12 months. After 12 months if you have not been offered a role, you would need to reapply.
