Our Stations team at Penrith are looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader - Part time to join the team. At Avanti West Coast it is our mission to be the transport of choice, connecting our customers and communities across the West Coast. We’re looking for a COMMITTED individual to work alongside the station Manager to support the smooth operation of the station by setting new standards for customer experience and operational excellence across our network to the communities we serve.

With over 500,000 customers travelling weekly, no two days are the same! You’ll play a vital role in ensuring a safe and effective workplace for both staff and customers. Expect shift work, some weekends, and close collaboration with your team and the station manager. This is a highly exciting role with extra responsibility. As a Team Leader you will:

  • Ensure Safety and Efficiency: Monitor station platform procedures and conduct safety/security checks, inspections, and audits to maintain a secure environment.
  • Deliver Outstanding Customer Service: Coordinate all customer service activities, especially during disruptions, to meet company specifications and passenger charter requirements.
  • Support the Station Manager: Manage day‑to‑day human resource issues, contractors, and premises, ensuring all work is carried out to specified standards.
  • Train Dispatch: Assist with the correct and safe method of train dispatch, preventing avoidable delays.

We’re looking for someone committed to high safety and customer service standards, with strong coordination and management skills, and the ability to work closely with others and support the team effectively. In this role you can bring your AUTHENTIC self. We want you to be you!

Please note this is a safety critical position and you will need to pass a safety critical medical if successful with your application. Training will be provided.
