Purpose
Pharmacy Assistants work with the Pharmacists and Registered Pharmacy Technicians to fulfil customer orders in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy.
Job Responsibilities
- Compounding sterile preparations in compliance with P&Ps and standards set by the company
- Calculate and supply clean room staff with ingredients that are required for compounding
- Label final containers and pack orders for delivery
- Support pharmacists during the final check
- Calibrate, monitor, and maintain equipment inside and outside of the clean room
- Receive and place orders of medications, solutions and supplies on the shelves and maintain inventory
- Organise and maintain the work area inside and outside of the clean room
Qualifications
- Completion of technical training required
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques is an asset
- Experience working in a clean room environment is an asset

- High level of attention to detail, accuracy and productivity
- Reliability, strong communication, organisational skills, customer service, initiative, teamwork, sound judgement, interpersonal skills are essential
- Commitment to high standards
