This is an exciting opportunity to join our school in a vital role supporting the safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral care of our students. As Safeguarding, Pastoral and Welfare Officer, you will play a key part in ensuring that every child feels safe, supported and able to thrive within our school. Working closely with the safeguarding team, school leaders, families and external agencies, you will help ensure that the highest standards of care and protection are maintained for all students.
The role is varied and sits at the heart of the school’s pastoral and safeguarding provision. You will support the day-to-day wellbeing of students by providing first aid and medical support, maintaining accurate medical records and care plans, and liaising with parents and relevant professionals regarding student health and welfare needs. You will also support safeguarding processes, including monitoring systems, maintaining records and acting as a key point of contact for pastoral concerns.
Alongside these responsibilities, you will contribute to the smooth running of the school office, supporting with school events, trips, communications and visitor enquiries. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the school to ensure that safeguarding, pastoral support and operational processes run effectively, helping to create a safe, welcoming and well-organised environment for students, staff and families.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, calm and compassionate, with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare. This role would suit someone who is passionate about supporting young people, able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and care, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of students every day.

What will you do?
- Support the smooth operational needs of the school as directed by the Office Manager/Learning Village Business Support Manager
- Analyse and evaluate data/information and produce reports/information/data as required.
- Comply with and assist in the development of policies and procedures relating to child protection, security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
- Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals.
