Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality teaching that enables all pupils to achieve strong progress and attainment, with learning tailored to individual needs and abilities.
  • Create a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment built on mutual respect, high expectations and positive behaviour management.
  • Use assessment, feedback and pupil data effectively to monitor progress, set targets and adapt teaching to support every learner, including pupils with SEND, EAL and additional needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, carers and the wider Avanti Schools Trust community to promote pupils’ wellbeing, achievement and personal development.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school through professional development, teamwork, safeguarding responsibilities and active participation in school events and initiatives.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of students, ensuring compliance with school policies and protocols.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to bachelor's degree level in a relevant or allied subject.
  • QTS qualified.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to delegate.
  • Excellent skills in the use and application of technology.
  • Clear vision and understanding of how to implement and sustain high‑quality teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students.
  • EYFS / Year 1 experience is desirable.
