The successful candidate will combine excellent classroom practice with phase leadership, teaching their own class while also leading and supporting colleagues across Key Stage 1 to ensure consistently high standards of teaching, learning and pupil wellbeing.
Working closely with colleagues, families and the wider leadership team, the KS1 Phase Lead will champion high expectations, support the development of teaching practice and help create a vibrant, nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. This role offers the opportunity to inspire both pupils and staff, drive continuous improvement and make a lasting impact on the life of the school community.

What will you do?
- To deliver the curriculum to a designated class
- To review long‑term planning to ensure coverage, progression and a range of learning experiences across the KS.
- Lead and enable staff in planning, teaching and evaluation of teaching which enthuses and engages children in learning and ensures that high standards are recognised, valued and maintained in all areas of the curriculum.
- Liaise closely with staff and other professionals so that they are able to make a significant contribution to teaching and learning in the phase.
- Ensure that planning, assessment, target setting, recording and reporting systems are implemented in line with academy policy.
- Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to pupils’ needs in order to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.

- Qualified to bachelor’s degree level in relevant subject or allied subject
