We are seeking a Learning Coach who shares our commitment to nurturing both academic success and personal development to join our growing team. Working closely with teachers and colleagues, you will support pupils to access learning, build confidence and flourish within a caring and inclusive school. This role will be working with pupils within Early Years / Pre-School.
Avanti Meadows is a brand-new primary school in Bishop’s Stortford. Surrounded by fields and new housing estates, the school is a centre for the new community developing in the north of Bishop’s Stortford. What will you do?
- Support teachers to deliver high-quality, inclusive learning by providing whole-class, small group and individual support that enables all pupils to access a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, recognising individual strengths and needs, and adapting support or interventions to help every child thrive.
- Provide targeted support for pupils with SEND or English as an additional language, implementing strategies from Individual Learning Plans and specialist guidance where appropriate.
- Promote pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development while maintaining a safe, respectful and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, colleagues and families to monitor progress, share insights and contribute to a supportive school community.

What are we looking for?
- Level 3 Nursery or Childcare qualification
- Evidence of child-centred attitude to all you do; Ability to relate well to children and adults to build and maintain effective relationships
- Evidence of strong communication skills; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
- Experience of general administrative work e.g. photocopying, laminating and the ability to work well within a team
- An understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
- Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
