About us and the role
Craft, Create and Support Student Excellence. We are looking for a proactive and skilled Design Technology Technician with Art to join our vibrant and values-led school. In this key role, you’ll work closely with teaching staff to help bring creative and technical lessons to life, preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and providing hands-on support that directly enhances students’ learning experiences. With responsibilities across both DT and Art, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to Educational Excellence, Character Development and Spiritual Insight by enabling pupils to explore and express their creativity in a safe and inspiring environment.

What will you do?
- Carry out preparatory work, under supervision, for practical lessons.
- Provide assistance, advice and practical demonstrations to students and staff in the use of equipment and resources.
- Deliver apparatus, equipment and materials to classrooms, retrieve after use and return for appropriate safe storage.
- Creation of appropriate safe storage methods.
- Provide support to the Head of Art.
- During busy times for GCSE practical work, you will be required to provide professional duties outside of school hours.
