About us and the role

Join Avanti Services Ltd as a Deputy Site Manager at Avanti Grange School and make a real difference behind the scenes.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety — from coordinating day-to-day site operations to liaising with contractors and supporting the school community.

You will work closely with the Site Manager to make sure our buildings and grounds are always clean, secure and ready for pupils, staff and visitors.

Avanti Grange is Bishop’s Stortford’s newest secondary school. Our state-of-the-art campus serves families from Stortford, Stanstead, Farnham and many other neighbouring villages. What will you do?

  • Assist the Site Manager in ensuring the school’s facilities are maintained to a high standard, safe, clean, and fit for learning.
  • Oversee daily site operations, supervising premises staff, contractors and supporting caretaking and cleaning teams.
  • Carry out regular inspections and checks, coordinate repairs, and keep digital estates systems up to date.
  • Help manage budgets for maintenance and repairs efficiently, ensuring good value and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate clearly with staff, parents and contractors, responding to facilities issues and supporting lettings when needed.
