We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher for our Nursery provision at Avanti Gardens, working specifically with our 2–3 year old class at a vital stage in their early development. This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact, nurturing young children through engaging, play‑based learning that supports their curiosity, confidence and wellbeing.

You will take responsibility for the learning, development and care of the children in your class; using observation and assessment to shape meaningful experiences that meet the needs of every child. Creating a warm, safe and stimulating environment will be central to your practice, alongside building strong, trusting relationships with children and their families. As part of a collaborative and supportive team, you will work closely with colleagues and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, while promoting the school’s ethos and ensuring the very best outcomes for every child.

What will you do?

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive teaching for a Nursery class of 2–3 year olds, ensuring all children make strong progress from their starting points.
  • Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes positive behaviour, wellbeing and a love of learning.
  • Use observation and assessment effectively to monitor development, inform planning and provide meaningful feedback to support each child’s growth.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers and external agencies to support children’s learning, development and safeguarding.
  • Uphold high professional standards, contribute to the wider life of the school and promote the ethos and values of the Avanti Schools Trust.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of students, ensuring compliance with school policies and protocols.
