We're working with a well-established and growing engineering business that develops specialist monitoring, control and communications technology used within critical infrastructure environments across the UK. This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team and become the focal point for electronics design within the business, helping to bring hardware development capability in-house and playing a key role in future product development.

The Role

This is a varied engineering position that combines electronics design with broader product development activities. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, testing and supporting electronic hardware used in specialist industrial applications, whilst also working closely with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analogue and digital electronics design
  • PCB schematic capture and board design
  • Prototype development and testing
  • Product validation and troubleshooting
  • Working with laboratory test equipment
  • Technical documentation and report writing
  • Supporting manufacturing and product improvement activities
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers on technical matters
  • Contributing to new product development projects
