The Opportunity
A leading European manufacturer is seeking an experienced Applications Manager to oversee their enterprise systems landscape. You’ll be responsible for rationalising legacy systems, leading enhancements and support, and managing an Applications team of 8. This is a business-critical role with influence across ERP, factory systems, and corporate applications. You’ll work closely with the current IT Director, who is planning retirement within 3–5 years. The right candidate will be in a strong position to step into that leadership role with full support and knowledge transition.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading the application and integration portfolio across multiple sites
* Managing and enhancing systems including ERP and shop-floor technologies
* Owning vendor relationships and third-party contracts
* Supporting CAPEX submissions and governance processes
* Leading a team of Business Analysts, SAP Consultants and Integration Support staff.
* Consolidating multiple ERP systems and instances to a more cost effective and simple model.
* Driving release planning, application roadmaps, and rationalisation initiatives
What We’re Looking For
* Broad IT leadership experience across applications, analysis, and integration
* Strong team and vendor management skills
* Track record in enterprise-scale environments (ideally 24/7 operations)
* Experience with application support and enhancement (We are not looking for a Software Development Manager)
* North Yorkshire – onsite five days per week
