Remote (UK) | £80,000 - £100,000 + Bonus + Private Medical

We're working with a fast-growing SaaS business that is transforming the way leading law firms manage complex legal and investment fund workflows. Their flagship platform is already used by major global law firms and is entering a major growth phase, with significant investment being made into new products, AI capabilities and platform scalability. They're now looking for a Senior Backend Developer to play a key role in the evolution of the platform.

The Opportunity

You'll join a growing technology organisation and work on a modern cloud-native platform that is scaling rapidly. One of the biggest initiatives currently underway is the launch of a new client portal that will fundamentally improve collaboration between law firms and their clients. Alongside this, the business is investing heavily in AI-powered workflow automation and advanced analytics capabilities. This role offers significant technical ownership and influence over backend architecture, scalability and engineering best practice.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs
  • Build solutions using Python, Django and Django REST Framework
  • Improve system performance, reliability and maintainability
  • Work closely with Product, DevOps and Frontend teams
  • Support architecture discussions and technical decision-making
  • Mentor and support other engineers
