Avanti Recruitment is working with a software company based in Oxford that is a leading global supplier of financial reporting software. The company is now looking for a Graduate or Junior Java Developer.
The company has been running for over 20 years, and their software has helped to redefine the financial reporting landscape. They are working with some of the world's largest regulators and enterprise organisations such as HMRC, the Bank of England, and Barclays. They currently work across 26 different countries, and in the UK alone, their technology has processed over £2 trillion in UK taxes.
You will be working on a Java Microservices-based platform which will be delivering applications to a range of customers around the world. You will be working with Java as the main language, however you will also use C#, TypeScript and React for the front-end development and built on Kubernetes.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a Java microservices-based platform delivering applications to customers worldwide.
- Collaborate with frontend technologies (C#, TypeScript, React) as part of the overall architecture on a Kubernetes-based stack.
- Strong Java experience
- 2:1 or above in Computer Science degree
- Kubernetes
- C#
- TypeScript / Frontend experience
- Commercial experience within the financial sector
- Ideally have 1-3 years of commercial experience
- 30-minute video call, typically includes a technical challenge in addition to a CV discussion
- 60-90 minute interview (face-to-face), including a programming exercise on a whiteboard and a broader discussion of your aspirations and ambitions
This role will require you to work in the office 3 days per week. The salary on offer for this position is up to £45,000 + discretionary bonus.
