About the Role
We are supporting an advanced engineering programme requiring a Senior HV Power Electronics Engineer with deep expertise in high-voltage system design, insulation coordination, and HV product validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-voltage creepage and clearance assessments across HV systems and subsystems.
- Support the design and validation of high-voltage power conversion systems and associated power electronics.
- Define and review insulation coordination strategies for complex electronic products.
- Conduct HV risk analysis, DFMEA activities, and system-level design reviews.
- Develop validation methodologies including HV withstand and insulation resistance testing.
- Work closely with electrical, mechanical, safety, and systems engineering teams to resolve HV integration challenges.
Required Experience
- Extensive experience in high-voltage electronics development within complex engineering environments.
- Strong background in high-voltage power conversion and power electronics design.
- Specialist knowledge of HV safety, creepage, clearance, and insulation coordination principles.
- Experience designing or validating medium-to-high voltage electronic systems.
- Proven experience with HV compliance and validation methodologies.
- Strong understanding of reliability, manufacturability, and product qualification within regulated industries.
- Experience operating within full hardware development lifecycles.
