We're supporting a market-leading technology business that develops advanced detection systems used to improve safety and security across healthcare, critical infrastructure, government, and commercial environments worldwide. This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled multidisciplinary engineering team where you'll be involved throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing, manufacture and customer deployment.

The Role

As an Electronics Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development and validation of innovative electronic hardware solutions within a collaborative product development environment. You'll work closely with software, mechanical and systems engineers to develop cutting-edge products used by customers across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer
  • Circuit simulation and design verification
  • Hardware bring-up, debugging and validation
  • Prototyping, soldering and hardware modifications
  • Working with communication protocols including CAN, I2C, SPI, UART and Ethernet
  • Supporting products through the full development lifecycle
  • Root cause analysis and fault investigation
  • Manufacturing support and continuous product improvement
  • Producing clear technical documentation

What We're Looking For

  • Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
  • Around 2 years' commercial electronics engineering experience
  • Experience designing analogue electronic circuits
  • PCB design and layout experience using Altium Designer
  • Strong hardware debugging and test skills
  • Experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analysers
  • Experience bringing up and troubleshooting new hardware designs
  • Understanding of product development processes
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable Experience

  • STM32 microcontrollers
  • Embedded software development
  • EMC design and compliance
  • Safety-critical or regulated product environments
